When it feels like spring outside, and no one feels like cooking, these juicy and flavorful turkey burgers are the perfect weeknight meal.
It snowed earlier this week, but for now, it’s 70 degrees out in the Northeast. We played with our kids, burned off some energy, and I finally got gas for the grill.
It is supposed to rain over the next couple of days, so I was not wasting this weather cooking indoors.
Simple and low-point turkey burgers

Tonight’s dinner was a big batch of 1 point turkey burgers, which combines a lot of the same flavors and ingredients.
We discovered Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Salute during our first few years living alone as real adults who didn’t really know how to cook yet.
I’m sure there’s some secret TJ’s magic mixed in, but this seasoning blend is great on vegetables and chicken, and its versatility enlivens boring dishes with a bit of tang and without the downsides of salt.
These burgers are my favorite because they are so good, juicy, and versatile. Even my daughter likes them, which is a huge plus because she is not always a fan of healthier foods.
These are great the next day sliced up for wraps or diced up in salads, too.
Great base for other recipes
This turkey burger recipe is the base for my Patty Melts, and really, you can add any WW-friendly toppings you like to the burgers. Our favorite buns are really whatever low-point light buns we scan at the supermarket that night.

1SP per burger makes this recipe a great foundation for your favorite toppings and mix-ins.
- 1 pound Uncooked 99% fat-free ground turkey breast
- 1 egg
- ⅓ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 Tbsp Trader Joe’s Spices of the World 21 seasoning salute
- Combine ingredients.
- Divide into 6 patties (they puff up so don’t worry if they seem small).
- Grill or pan fry.
